"But he has a dark and troubled past!"
OH DOES HE NOW? LIKE THE LAST 500 OF YOU?
urs0vain asked: you seem so awesome! what do you think Reed looks for in its applicants? i just want it to love me, but want to remain myself, you know? if you could offer me advice on anything at this point in my life, what would it be?
Ugh I’m the worst at hitting the right button, I don’t know how I did that again. Well anyway, here’s more about my philosophy on life. The TL;DR is that having passions outside of academia is important.
urs0vain asked: have you been at Reed all four years? i'm interested in other colleges like Vassar but i have loved Reed for so much longer. did you declare your major from the get-go or did Reed make you love physics even more? i'm currently in ap physics and was initially struggling but now everything is pretty rainbows (literally, we're in the light unit). would you say students at Reed are generally happy with themselves and the education there? thanks so much for responding
I meant to respond to this privately— but if you’re interested in hearing my opinions about my school, they’re below.
I decided it’s time for me have an actual little bio so here goes.
I’m Aya, this is basically what I look like, she/her pronouns. I like to knit, write, look at art, and listen to music. I guess I’m sort of changing what this blog is about. Things about science, art, knitting, writing, and my current tunes are likely.
I go to Reed College, in Portland, OR, but am graduating in May. (Physics!) I write stories about dragons. You can expect reblogs of anything related to dragons that comes up on my dash.
I probably won’t post anything with much explicit nudity (except in some artwork) but I may occasionally reference substance use, which I’ll tag with tw:substances.
Peace, Love, and Yarn,
did no one think that maybe putting images of scales all ALLL ALL around campus might possibly be shitty for some people?? No one? ok. that’s cool.
Wait, what is this referring to? I am apparently oblivious…
There are posters that say things like “Ready for a change?” and then the scale meter instead of a number has like a happy face or something absurd. And then there is info for the ED help group. (Yeah, I had to really shake my head at that).
